About Julian

A decade and a half on from humble beginnings at the Transmission Café open mic nights in Denmark on the south west coast of WA, Julian has become a staple in the flourishing Perth music scene. Graduating from WAAPA with a Diploma of Music Artist and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, Julian is renowned for his stage presence, charisma, and professionalism, along with his accomplished playing and vocal abilities.

Julian is a founding member, lead/backing vocalist and keyboardist for prominent Perth cover band Code Red, a strong addition to a long list of project involvements and features including Helen Townsend, KICK Perth, Southern Sky Band, Mitchell Martin, Bernie Dieter’s Little Death Club, The Frauds and Shannon Smith among many more. With experience spanning every genre from pop to country, funk to punk, brit-pop to soul, Julian is one of the most versatile players in Perth.
